Terms
These terms describe the current landlord-guidance website and the boundaries of the information it provides.
Last updated 11 September 2026
Complyard organises official information for private residential landlords and property teams in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The ordinary routes are designed for private rented homes. Commercial property, social housing, holiday and short lets, owner-occupied arrangements, agricultural tenancies and unusual legacy tenancies may need different material.
The website is a starting point, not legal, tax, financial or professional advice. A rule can depend on the property, tenancy, people involved, dates, licences and local area. Check the linked official page and seek suitably qualified advice where the decision is important or disputed.
Source links lead to third-party public bodies. Their content, availability and terms are controlled by those bodies. Complyard records a checked date and may publish a plain-English update after reviewing a relevant source change.
You can save guidance routes, topics and council pages on your device without an account. If you choose to sign in, Complyard keeps the same list with your account, together with the latest update list you marked as seen. Your sign-in provider holds your email and sign-in details; Complyard does not use this account for marketing, property records or payments. You can export or delete the saved list from My Complyard.
The service may change as sources, renting systems and coverage develop. If you spot a broken link or an error, send the page address and a short explanation to hello@complyard.com.
Do not interfere with the website, attempt to bypass its security, overload it with automated requests or present Complyard's material as your own official guidance. You may link to public pages and use the service for ordinary landlord and property-management work.
You remain responsible for decisions about a property or tenancy. Nothing on the website confirms that a property or person has met every applicable requirement. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded are unaffected.
