Using Complyard without an account

The guidance finder uses broad choices such as nation, landlord topic and property type. Those choices appear in the page address so you can bookmark or share the route. Complyard does not ask for a property address, postcode, tenancy details, documents or notes.

Topics saved on one device

If you save guidance in your browser, the list can include your chosen nation, rental task and broad property type, the official pages shown for that route, selected topics and council pages, and the last update list you saw. It stays on that device unless you later choose to add it to a signed-in account. You can download or clear the list.

Your optional free account

Clerk handles the email address, sign-in checks, sessions and account-security information needed to open the account. Complyard keeps an opaque account link, up to twenty saved guidance routes, five topics, fifteen council pages and the last public update list you marked as seen. A saved route records the chosen nation, rental task, broad property type, ordered official page identifiers and the source-list release in use when you saved it. Complyard does not copy your email into this saved-guidance record.

This information is used to provide the account you request. Necessary service protection, fraud prevention and fault diagnosis are used for the legitimate interest of keeping Complyard secure and reliable. The account list is not used for advertising, marketing or a property profile.

Website delivery and necessary cookies

Vercel hosts the website and may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, time and requested page to deliver and protect it. Signed-in pages use strictly necessary Clerk cookies to keep a session secure. Complyard does not use advertising trackers, product analytics or marketing cookies.

Service providers and locations

Vercel provides website hosting, Clerk provides account authentication, and Neon provides the PostgreSQL store selected in the AWS London region. These providers act under their published privacy and data-processing terms. Clerk and some provider support or subprocessor activity may involve countries outside the UK, using their published UK transfer safeguards.

How long information is kept

The active account and saved list are kept until you delete the account. Deleting it removes the working saved list and closes the sign-in identity. Limited, access-restricted recovery or security records may remain for the short periods applied by the providers or where the law requires them. Complyard reviews inactive accounts and this retention position at least once a year.

Your choices and rights

You can download the Complyard account list, remove saved items, manage sign-in details and delete the account from My Complyard. You may also ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Complyard may need to confirm identity before acting on a request.

If a privacy concern is not resolved, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Complyard links to government, regulator, legislation and council websites. Their own privacy notices apply after you leave Complyard.

Changes to this notice

The date above will change before Complyard uses information for a materially different purpose. A new purpose such as reminders or marketing would need its own clear choice.
